Institutional Changes in the Eastern Arab Countries

Summary/Abstract: This article investigates the process of institutional changes in the Arab East. Based on the theory of institutional change, we consider the reasons for and the main features of the institutional dynamics of political institutions in the countries of the Arab East, and reveal the role of institutional agents at different stages of this process. We make a conclusion that the basic institutions reflecting the essential connections between the actors of political process maintain their content, while subjected to change are only the forms of their embodiment in political practice.
