Idioms with a proper name as a component in German and Bosnian

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with comparison of idiomatic expressions which contain proper names in the German and the Bosnian language. The largest number of these idiomatic expressions belong to non-equivalent phraseology, while fully equivalent idioms are rather rare and most of them originate from myths or the Bible. The relatedness of these idiomatic units with the culture and tradition of each language community makes this group of idiomatic units very important.
