Summary/Abstract: The article presents the main feature of Hungarian transformation: privatization-denationalization whereby enterprises are incorporated in regional and global economic structures. First the author describes the formal structure of property, for Hungary in general, and in particular for the 100 largest enterprises. In the second part, the sources of the Hungarian model of property are described, and the current situation is interpreted as a consequence of the initial conditions, of the chosen economic policy, and of the applied methods of privatization. The third part is a summary of the basic conclusions drawn from an empirical survey, concerning the impact of various structures on property, their influence on corporate management; the author presents certain hypotheses as to the nature and essential features of the property structure in Hungary.
