Summary/Abstract: “The war of Troy” that took place in the city of Troy in Ancient Anatolia and also became the subject of Homer’s “Iliad” was rumored to be occured because of beautiful Helen. She was a Greek woman but known as Trojan. Her story was known mostly as it was described by Homer. But her tale was told in many different ways in Ancient literature. The aim of this study is to reveal some of these different versions of the story as it was reflected over a long time span from Homer the poet to Herodotus the historian, from Euripides the tragedian to Gorgias the philosopher.
