Summary/Abstract: After military campaigns which began in 1381 and lasted, with some interruptions, more than 200 years, the Ottoman occupation finally settled in Albania in 1571. At that time, at the time of the first Ottoman campaigns of occupation , Another danger threatened the territories of Albania: it was the expansionist intentions of the Republic of Venice, which began in 1392 the occupation of Albanian maritime towns. After a long period of crisis, due to the defeat of Ankara (1402), the Ottomans resumed and again under the leadership of Sultan Mehmet I new military campaigns towards the Balkans, including Albania.
