Democratization or Neo-Luddism – reform of the university in the face of technoscience

Summary/Abstract: The article can be viewed as an attempt to ascertain Neo-Luddistic tendencies present in critiques of higher education reforms. In the Polish context they can be identified in marginalization of technoscience perspective. Author points at potentially emancipatory dimension of technoscience and necessity of imagining change, which could serve as an alternative to both Neo-Luddistic technophoby and capitalistic technocracy.
