Summary/Abstract: The question opf the desire assemblage is at the heart of the new seduction loci on dating websites. The web, as a new contemporary territory requires that assemblage isssues are redefined. The profiles of registered users reveal a glossing over of the norms of self presentation through the reuse and updating of gender stereotypes. By applying the four components of Deleuze's desire assemblage to dating sites, we willl focus more specifically on the types of utterance posted by users, in order to identify the gender stereotypes at work. This paper sets out to show that male or fermale subjects use these stereotypes in order to develop an average degree of otherness. Abolishing the virulence of meeting someone else seems to be its virtue. Not to collide with each other, in order to increase the chances of an encounter.
