Summary/Abstract: A Perspective on Hamsun as a Young Artist. The article presents the relation between Hunger and the theoretical point of view that Knut Hamsun had on literature when publishing this novel. The relation between theory and practice in relation to Hamsun’s view upon literature underlines realistic aspects to be found in this innovative novel.
