Summary/Abstract: Knut Hamsun’s Life and Creation. An Overview. The present paper intends to offer a brief but, in the same time, complete presentation of the Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun. Special attention is given to his overwhelming power of creation, no matter the circumstances. The work is structured on a chronological overview of his literary career, intermingled with facts from his life. Likewise, the article is meant to be a useful and a handy reading for all those who are interested in Hamsun’s evolution from a simple North-Norwegian young man into one of world’s greatest writers.
