Summary/Abstract: The paper outlines different approaches to the study of religion through the scholarly disciplines of religiology and theology. It also presents the meaning and the structure of religiology, as well as its relationship otheology. It then defines the phenomenology of religion, as well as its own relationship with religiology. It then describes three types of phenomenology of religion: descriptive phenomenology, which describes religious phenomena; typological phenomenology, which lists religious phenomena according to their similarity and difference; essential phenomenology, which explores the essence of religious phenomena. It also focuses on those who research the phenomenology of religion whose scientific examination requires them to leave their own religious beliefs aside, approaching the area in a strictly scientific manner.
