Summary/Abstract: Donji Kamičak is a village near the river Sana, between Sanski Most and Ključ. The speech of this village belongs to the west Bosnian ikaviansćakavian speech. This paper describes the vowel system of Donji Kamičak’s speech. The results of my research have shown that the vowel system of this speech has five vocalic units and the vocalic r, that these vowels have the standard articulation, but also a moved articulation of the vowels a, e, i and o appears, but this is not a common nor a consistent phenomenon. The appereance of the mutual substitutions of vowels is not frequent in this speech, there is a presence of secondary vowels and the contraction of vowels, the reflex of yat is usually ikavik, but, ijekavism is not rare either, and ekavisms as well. It is possible to notice that the same person uses different reflexes in the same word and same position.
