Summary/Abstract: The article presents the profile of masses, the leaders of the contemporary civilization, and their influences on the main aspects of social life, including the field of arts. Consumption is one of the characteristics of masses behaviour and this behaviour is also identified in relation to literature, communication and interpersonal relationships.
