Summary/Abstract: Tertullian is one of the Latin apologists, who for the primary Church, constituted a support in the fight against idolatry and heresy and for the defense of the true faith and of the biblical truth. The danger for the Christian faith of the primary epoch confronted with the heresies represented the falsification of the scriptures through their fragmentary perception and use, in order to support certain false teachings but also the false exegesis which the heretics did for some of the biblical texts. Using a general principle of Roman law, praescriptio, the heretics are declared unchristian and are voided of the right to use the Holy Scripture.
