Summary/Abstract: Algerian higher education has benefited until the 80’s of a great prestige or a good social image because all of its 'products' or services were readily consumed by different sectors of social life. But from that time, it began to experience a serious challenge from both its internal stakeholders (teachers, students, administrative staff etc.), as well as from external partners (governments, companies, associations, families etc.). To remedy this, we advocate the promotion of a true culture of evaluation because we believe it represents for us a valuable tool that helps restore the social prestige of our universities.
