Summary/Abstract: The psychoanalysis of tales sends back to the unconscious. The study develops a complementary approach, which refers to a philosophic hermeneutics. Five tales are selected and studied from the theme of the link and the cut. These tales, of which the famous tale of Andersen: the Litttle Mermaid, are confronted with the anthropological contributions of François Flahaut and Paul Ricoeur. The study allowed to distinguish various modalities of the intimate fracture a man feels when confronted with the enigma of the meaning of life and of his own life.
