Summary/Abstract: Nancy Fraser is a professor of social and political theory at the New School University in New York. She specialises in social and political issues from a critical perspective and focuses especially on justice and gender. Her publications include, for example, Unruly Practices: Power, Discourse and Gender in Contemporary Social Theory (1989), Feminist Contentions: A Philosophical Exchange (1994, with Seyla Benhabib, Judith Butler and Drucilla Cornell), and Justice Interruptus (1997). Nancy Fraser is also co-editor of Constellations, an international journal of critical and democratic theory.
