Summary/Abstract: The article explains how the past is explored taking into consideration the current manifestations of the present. "When we say that Homer, Dante, Shakespeare, Goethe, Hugo, Creangă are our contemporaries, that means that we found that their ideas, sentiments that correspond to our ideas and sentiments in spite the centuries and even milleniums that part us".
