On Syntactico-Semantic Properties of Verbs ‘somebody i reminded somebodyj that’ and ‘something i reminded somebodyj that’_

Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses two Polish verbs containing the string przypominać. The analysis focuses on their syntactic properties, in particular on their direct syntactic dependents. As the result, a proposal to distinguish two lexical units with respective syntactic [ktośi] przypomniał [komuśj], że_ and [cośi] przypomniało [komuśj], że_.is presented. Observations about syntactic properties of both units have enabled the author to formulate some conclusions about their semantics, in which special attention is paid to semantic features that distinguish the two units, although some hypotheses about shared components of meaning have been put forward.
