The Impact of Globalisation Processes on the Directions of Development of the Forms of Trade in Food Products in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the influence of globalisation processes in the macro-scale on the activity conducted in agriculture’s environment and, especially the impact of these processes on the demand for food and its global supply (in the OECD countries). The observable changes call for the introduction of new institutional solutions in the sphere of co-operation between food producers and the trade infrastructure. The introduction of new solutions leads to the emergence of new forms of co-operation in the sphere of sale of mass-produced and niche food articles which permit to meet the demand of the emerging new sub-segments of the market in Poland both in urban agglomerations and in rural areas. W artykule został przedstawiony wpływ procesów globalizacyjnych na działalność w skali makro w otoczeniu rolnictwa, a w szczególności ich wpływ na popyt na żywność oraz na podaż w skali globalnej (państw OECD). Powoduje to konieczność dostosowania do tych zmian nowych rozwiązań instytucjonalnych w obszarze współpracy między producentami żywności a infrastrukturą handlową. Skutkiem tego jest pojawienie się nowych form współpracy w zakresie sprzedaży żywności masowej oraz niszowej zaspokajającej popyt nowo tworzących się subsegmentów rynku w Polsce, zarówno w aglomeracjach miejskich, jak i na terenie obszarów wiejskich.
