Summary/Abstract: Some educational aspects of prie-school children’s motivation to learn are discussed this paper. The main factors that might influence children‘s motivation to learn are stressed. Based on qualitative research data, when a structured interview was used, the main factors of children’s attitudes towards learning have been identified, i.e. children’s attitudes towards school, their interpersonal relations within the group/class, a need for safety, and also those children’s attitudes towards the classmates. It is stated that school and the family are the most important educational institutions for a child’s holistic formation, i.e. after a child starts going to the school teachers take most responsibility for a child’s favorable socialization processes. Therefore most of pre-schoolers like going to kindergarten/preparatory school and a need to go to school arises quite fast and becomes strong at this age. Moreover, many children point out that they feel quite safe in the group, they have many friends, and these friends enjoy communicating with respondents.
