Summary/Abstract: Funerary imprecations are a wide-spread phenomenon in western Asia Minor, mainly in Phrygia and Lydia, not only in pagan environment, but in Jewish and Christian local traditions as well. The purpose of the current article is to provide an analysis over the meaning, structure, typological patterns, and functionality of the inscriptions that contain funerary imprecations in Asia Minor mostly related to the polytheistic perspective.
