Summary/Abstract: The genesis of the concept «gender policy», history of its origin and its formation are examined. It is revealed that «gender policy» as an integral category of the political analysis doesn’t have one single definition. It is defined that gender policy doesn’t have a lot of results in practice of the Russian state because of the fact that the governmental authorities are not very much interested in realization of this area of the state’s policy.
