Summary/Abstract: Decoding the message in language interactions is supplemented by decoding gestures and extra-verbal communications. The latter are absent due to the specific use of e-learning platforms. This paper is aimed at identifying and analysing some of the strategies and methods of communication able to substitute face to face communication skills so as to best maintain effective interaction in terms of both informational and formative aspects. In addition, the paper identifies the need to achieve certain assessable feedback ways to provide us with a clear image of originally formulated goals. In this context, we consider that a special study should be devoted to open courses and opened practices. Open Courseware, or OCW, is a term applied to course materials in a virtual learning environment created by universities and freely shared with the world via the Internet having purpose to put all of the educational materials and resources online, partly free and openly available to anyone, anywhere, anytime, while the Opened practices is a community of practice for teaching and learning with open/community-source tools.
