Summary/Abstract: Cohabitation as a form of the modern family life organization is analyzed. The com-parative analysis of characteristics connected with parental-child’s relationships among mothers brining up their children in marriages an in cohabitations is made. The comparison and descriptive characteristics of the abovementioned types of families is made on the basis of the sociological research «Children’s value. Intergenerational relationships». The research was held in Nizhny Novgorod region in 2006—2007 within the framework of international project.
