Summary/Abstract: News on the rise of the far-right based on racism and xenophobia in the EU and its member states has recently become a usual agenda. Extreme nationalist speeches and racist posters during provincial elections in Germany, a step for the formation of a new far-right group in the European Parliament, are just some of them. The Ludwinghafen fire, in which nine Turkish people lost their lives in a four-story apartment building in southwest Germany, has become the last point causing an increase in a tense xenophobic environment.
