The growing openness of the world economy

Summary/Abstract: The author of this study aims to analyze and evaluate the degree of openness of the national economy. Research was conducted on the theories, concepts and models for economic openness. The study is organized into five part: Part One describes the changes occurring due to the globalization of the world economy and their impact on the activities of the business entities; Part Two and Part Three review the openness as one of the key factors for economic growth and provide classification of its various aspects; Part Four deals with the negative aspects of opening the national economy; Part Five discusses the regional economy ó global economy relation.
