Summary/Abstract: The article looks at the changes introduced on 1 July 2013 by the municipial refuse management reform. The author presents the legal basis of the new municipial waste management system, its rationale and the changes in comparison to the previous one. Special attention is given to the most important principles and features of the new system (regional approach, charges, tenders).
