Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the surnames Nezbeda and Oliva, used by Libuše Olivová in her publications. The author provides their analyses from the point of view of their possible appellative origin and thinks of the locality that the potencial ancestors of her father Nezbeda and her husband Oliva could come from; also their possible occupation is considered. The frequency of these surnames in the years 1990, 1999 and 2008 is also recorded in the paper.
