Summary/Abstract: Burja and Burja analyze how Romanian rural economy adjusts to the European agriculture policy from the perspective of sustainable development. Ciumasu et al. state that the success of the transition to sustainable development is conditioned by a switch of the bulk of economic investments from unsustainable to sustainable technologies and practices. On Tache’s reading, the problem of environment protection became a national concern in Romania mainly after 1989. Platon and Turdeanu have as purpose the comparative analysis of the way in which sustainable development is approached within EU and Romania.
