Summary/Abstract: In the present paper, authors aim to present a few basic lines regarding the degree of implementation of marketing in the current activity of some educational institutions in a southern Romanian county. The conclusions of the research show that the operationalization of marketing at the level of education institutions has to be firmly related to the main factors influencing the marketing environment and the positioning process in developing targeted educational services
