Summary/Abstract: While the 33rd chapter of the De administrando imperio contains the description of the early medieval county of Zahumlje, there are many unclear places in side. According to our opinion they mostly origin from the praxis of Constantin VII Porphyrogenitus to make conclusions based on his logical judgment and, mostly, dubious etymological constructions obtained trough his in formers and own observations.
