Summary/Abstract: Organizations could be considered complex adaptive systems that devise strategies to deploy its resources in response or anticipation to the opportunities and threats that exist in the environment in which these organizations operate. Environments change frequently and as a result, new opportunities and threats emerge. As a result, organizations need to manage change in order to compete successfully. Employees might resist the change planned in organizations if it is perceived that the change is thrust upon them. Appreciative Inquiry is an approach that could be used by organizations to implement sustainable change. Appreciative Inquiry is participative and collaborative in nature. The objective of Appreciative Inquiry is to achieve the desired change by building on the current strengths of the individual, team or organizations.
