CSR AND SUSTAINABILITY IN LARGE AND VERY LARGE ROMANIAN ORGANIZATIONS

Summary/Abstract: CSR became a more and more approached topic not only by management literature but also by different companies, as it is proved by the information available on their webpage’s and different publications and statements. The starting idea of this research is that practicing CSR activities can increase the prospects for sustainability of enterprises. This paper presents information provided by a group of large and very large organizations from Romania (through a survey) information related to CSR and to the integration of the CSR aspects into the business strategy. The research also aims to identify respondents' perception „vis-à-vis” to some possible advantages conferred by practicing CSR activities and to identify how these activities were affected by the present financial crisis.
