Summary/Abstract: The development of the Czech language in the early stage of the Czech national revival must be described anew in accordance with the latest findings of both Czech and foreign scientists. All documented forms of the language in the early stage of the national revival must be studied. Predominantly prescriptive grammars written between 1775 and 1825 do not describe the Czech language of the period fully. It is necessary to explore all kinds of texts including their parallels in other languages and to create a  modern corpus of the language of the early phase of the national revival.
