Summary/Abstract: Author gives the attention to one of the basic institute of protection of human rights and freedoms – judicial review of administrative decisions and processes in the article. According to opinion of the author, it is effective to analyze the mentioned institute through proper knowledge of its historical development. Therefore the article deals with historical development of judicial review of administrative decisions and processes from its beginnings in 1867 and continues with changes in 1918, 1938, 1948 to 1989.
