Summary/Abstract: The article engages in the analysis of some traits of feigned orality in a source-text (the classic Romanian writer Ioan Slavici’s The Chatter Priest) and its translation to Spanish. We will adopt the theoretical and methodological framework present in the latest studies on the issue and we will try to verify its validity and applicability both when it comes to exploring the oral traits of the original text as when it comes to evaluating the quality of the translation.
