Difficultie of Understanding Speciality Texts Caused by Word-Building

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with some difficulties, concerning word-building and similar phenomena in French, such as composition, conversion transfer. Written speciality texts are investigated as they convey scientific ideas in the best way. Differently from the difficulties in syntax and semantics the lexical word-building is not a big trouble and therefore not a subject dealt with by linguists, still we can not neglect the changes of meanings of word-building and affixes, new lexical units, carrying out other semantic and syntactic functions.
