In the Moravian Gallery in Brno, a woodblock from the end of the fifteenth century is being preserved. Its graphic presentations are accompanied by german texts. The woodcut of the Judenwucher (the Jewish usurer) captures elements of the topical anti-Jewish polemics at the time and conceptualises a similar portrait of the Jewish usurer to the woodcut from 1484, kept in the German Historical Museum in Berlin, or the texts by Hans Folz, which implies a knowledge of southern German print production. In this respect, the woodblock matches the current practice in that it represents an imitation in multiple aspects and aims to ensure marketing.
