Summary/Abstract: The article presents hetero-stereotypes of Poles and Italians concerning the mutual perception of men and women that are part of the common beliefs characteristic for both sexes. The author takes under consideration the opinions on their appearance, character, family relations, behavior, and also preferred food and drinks. Introductory deliberations relate to the case of Polish migration to Italy. Because of its heterogeneous character (educational, political, earning) it influenced the changes of stereotypical perception of Poles in Italy.
