Communication with dead people (Materials from Vratsa region)

Summary/Abstract: My motivation to choose this theme comes from the fact that I were collected a lot of materials from Vratsa region in the period 1980–1990s. I interviewed people who got in touch with some relatives of theirs who had died. The materials are from the 30–40s of the last century. There is a belief that the world of dead is a reflection of the Earth’s world. That’s why all the customs connected with their transformation and their coming back should be precisely followed, according to the popular beliefs.
