Summary/Abstract: Peter Russell, the author of the famous books The Book of the Brain and The World Brain, talks about evolution problems from the point of view of communication, formulating an answer to the famous question of aspiring high-school kids: "What comes after man?". His starting point is the view of "primitive" (non-technological) societies according to which our planet Earth (Gaea in Greek) is a living being. "We have recently, through several various scientific methods, started to realize that Earth could indeed be a living organism. There are various long-range processes in the biosphere system that can not be completely explained by convetional physical chemistry.
