Summary/Abstract: This paper reports on the intercultural issues tackled on the scientific reunion organized by the Department of Modern Languages and Business Communication from the Faculty of Economics and Business Accounting, “Babeş-Bolyai” University, Cluj-Napoca on the occasion of The European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. This was also an opportunity to celebrate 15 years of academic activity of the department (1993-2009), as well as 10 years since Lingua Centre was set up (1999-2009).
