Activities undertaken in the European Union to promote innovation

Summary/Abstract: The European Union, which aspires to become one of the most competitive economy in the world, takes a number of actions and initiatives to promote and support innovation. The article presents selected activities undertaken to promote innovation, as well as describes the current innovation policy pursued in the European Union, based on the new Europe 2020 and the initiative of innovation union.
