Maramures - between tradition and identity de-construction

Summary/Abstract: Maramure[ was a space that generated cultural stereotypes, and this characteristic remains current. We propose a critical examination of these cultural stereotypes. We try to identify the phenomena of social and cultural change that qualify this area among of the most mobile and innovative in Romania, even if cultural innovation, out of legislative control and everyday aesthetic education is generating the loss of any traces of local identity of these communities.
