Summary/Abstract: The reflection on beauty has existed from ancient times. All great writers have devoted at least a phrase to beauty. There are proverbs about beauty and ugliness in all languages, but they are not always the same. I have not found proverbs on beauty/ugliness with the same form in Romanian and Spanish, but I did find some that may be considered equivalent.
