Summary/Abstract: The semantics of poetry, as presented here, reinforces the idea that meaning varies according to context. Tropes determine the poetic idea and generate the entire poetry. Well-determined semantic spheres underpin the analysed poems, implying a wide variety of semantic relations. Alecsandri remains an image creator.
