Summary/Abstract: This review by Enes Karić deals with the late Dr Ismet Kasumović (1948-1995), a renowned professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Arabist, orientalist and historian. Karić provides details of his major intellectual contributions, and refers to the spiritual mood of the times in which the Bosnian Muslim intellectuals of Kasumović’s generation grew to maturity.
