Summary/Abstract: In today’s world international assignment has become a more significant aspect of organizations management then before mainly because of progressive globalization. Additionally, expatriate management represents a critical issue in most international assignments and thus it becomes a strategic issue of international human resource management. Repatriation is the last element of the expatriate management cycle. According to the literature, there is still a large part of expatriates and managers in corporate headquarters who assume that re-entry to the home country is relatively non-problematic. That is why the element of the cycle gets less attention and so organizations are not able to generate value added. The main objective of the paper is to detect whether international organizations operating in Poland have implemented the tools which allow them to take advantages form the repatriation.
