Changes in human resource management in public hospitals

Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to identify the changes that occurred in human resource management in one of the county public hospitals. The evaluation of these changes was compared to the results from other studies on similar issues carried out in Poland and abroad. Generally, it is concluded that the implementation of the personnel function in Polish hospitals brought significant changes in moving from the administration of human resources to personnel management. The level of implementation of this function is still not high and requires further changes towards building human resource management systems that are the consistent configuration of the objectives and procedures for the acquisition and retention of personnel in public health care facilities.
