Motivating employees in small companies

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the problem of conditions and specifics of motivating employees in small enterprises. The object aspect of this management function in small companies and, separately, in microenterprises, was analyzed and requirements of employees were identified. The main attention was paid to searching for motivation instruments and to an attempt of their classification. As an example, the financial and non-financial work motivation instruments, applied in two tourist companies, were given.
